Riding Experience

I have been riding for more than 10 years at a small hunter/jumper barn in Georgia. I have shown at both the local and national level, working my way from the beginner ring to the Junior Hunters and equitation. Under the guidance of my trainer, I have brought along several green ponies and am currently developing a green horse as my Junior hunter and Equitation mount. I have also competed on my barn’s IEA team as a middle school student. I have also had the opportunity to ride a wide variety of horses and ponies at my barn–young, old, big, and small.

Throughout my riding career, I have been hands-on with the horses. My barn does not employ grooms at home or at the horse shows. At home, I am expected to tack up, clean up, and care for my own horse, and at shows, I am responsible for tacking, bathing, mucking stalls, cleaning tack, helping to unload and load the trailer, and more. My peers would describe me as a hard worker, and I am extremely grateful for the close bonds I have formed with my horses through the many long hours I have spent with them.

Accomplishments

2025 

  • Qualified my own horse and competed with him at USEF Junior Hunter Finals in the Large Juniors 3’3”, 15-under

2024 

  • Qualified for the Georgia Hunter Jumper Association (GHJA)  Equitation Challenge Finals

  • Qualified for the JD Pounds Medal Finals

2023 

  • Qualified my medium pony for 2024 USEF Pony Finals

  • Qualified for the M&S Pony Equitation Medal Finals 

  • Placed 4th in GHJA Pony Medal Finals  

  • Awarded Best Child Rider on a Pony at the Aiken Spring Classic 

2022 

  • Qualified my own pony and competed at USEF Pony Finals in the Medium Greens. Finished 15th over fences, 20th overall, 9th Rider Owner, and xxx Welsh ponies

  • Placed 3rd in the GHJA Pony Medal Finals

  • Champion Medium Pony Hunter at GHJA Finals

  • Reserve Champion Schooling Pony Hunter at GHJA Finals

  • IEA High Point Rider for Zone 4

  • Qualified for IEA Zone Championships and placed 1st over fences

  • Qualified for IEA Regional Championships over fences 

2021

  • End of Year Champion, Small/Medium Pony Hunters, GHJA

  • End of Year Reserve Champion, 11&u Equitation, GHJA

  • Placed 7th in the GHJA Pony Medal Finals
